FITASC SPORTING JUNIOR WORLD CUP THIRD
NEIL MEYERIDRICKS
Nineteen year old Neil Meyeridricks, who joined the Clay Target Shooting Association of South Africa (CTSASA) in March 2014, has just returned from Italy with the FITASC Sporting Junior World Cup Third Trophy.
Neil started shooting the disciplines of ATA TRAP and DTL TRAP and progressed on to FITASC Sporting. In 2017 Neil earned the prestigious Junior CTSASA Merit Colours and in 2019 Neil also earned the highly prestigious CTSASA Merit Colours as a Senior.
In 2020, Neil earned Western Cape provincial colours for the discipline of ATA Trap. In 2021 Neil also earned Western Cape provincial colours and shot as a member of the Western Cape Chairman’s Cup FITASC Sporting team where the Western Cape provincial team came 2nd Overall.
Neil qualified for Junior Protea Colours to shoot as a Junior in the FITASC Sporting World Championship.
In 2020 and 2021 Neil had qualified for National Protea Colours but due to the international travel restrictions he was prevented from participating in the designated events, which meant he could not be awarded his Colours.
Neil was determined not to let this stop him from pursuing his dream of achieving in FITASC Sporting!
We sincerely congratulate Neil on his achievement and we know he will strive for even greater honours in the years to come.
